Ever since being a child i have been terrified of the dentist, to the point of needing sedation for simple treatments at the age of 16, and avoiding the dentist completely for too long. For a while even the thought of the dentist sent me into a panic attack, but due to toothache and pain i had to force myself into the dentist. I saw Madeline Jones for the first check up in too long and she completely put me at ease from the get go, being made to feel comfortable and understanding my fears and listening to me each step of the way. Not once did i feel silly for being nervous like i have done in the past, i was reassured and cared for amazingly the whole way. Also, the nurse Shannon kept talking me through everything and making sure i was ok, which i really appreciated. Madeline was explaining every step of what she was doing so i was never left unsure. Updating me on how long we have to go and continuously telling me how well i was doing coping with the treatment. I am now at a stage where i can go into the dentist and have an injection without going into a sheer panic which i never thought i'd ever be able to do. I can't compliment them enough. I am always kept up to date with texts about my appointments and if any changes are needed. Completely restored my trust in dentists! |

Appalling service, we had an appointment for my two young sons at the start of the week, with it being near Christmas the traffic was horrendous so my husband called to inform them he might be late, he had to call multiple times as nobody picked up the phone. When he eventually spoke to someone they said they could no longer see us because they are not insured at that time..?, we had two appointments so he asked if they could at least see one of my sons they declined as the dentist wanted to leave, (it was only a couple of minutes after the appointment time) even though he had just arrived. Due to this, they offered him an appointment the next day, which he accepted but for some reason received a text for an appointment two days later. On the day of the appointment, I took my two sons. In my haste, I forgot my wallet and didn’t realise that children over 6 have to pay for check ups (which I have no issue with) so when it came to paying I offered to pay with a bank transfer or for my husband to pay over the phone but they refused and said it needs to be paid with a card now. So they refused to let me and my children leave the surgery. I called my husband to bring the card, so he headed to the surgery straight away, with it being Christmas and circa 5 pm there was more traffic than normal. When he arrived with the card they told us we had another outstanding charge of £13 from 6 months earlier. I am unsure as to why they have never asked us for this before or didn't ask us for the money at the time of the last appointment. I do wonder however why it was fine for them to wait 6 months without asking for payment but kept us hostage for this payment. The only explanation we got was that it was not our fault or the surgery's fault! |

I am a very nervous patient and hate needles! I saw maddie and noelia here who both looked after me! The reception team followed guidelines to the letter and I was asked a series of questions prior to entering which made me feel safe. The receptionist were both extremely pleasant and they always have been every time I or my wife have attended. I would highly recommend this practice. I did have my appointment rescheduled but that was due to social distancing measures which I completely understand. Thank you Bupa Bramhall |
