After my review earlies I’ve been waiting for a long time for a call back today for an urgent appointment but never got one. I rang out of hours to help me with the pain and that I’m struggling to get appointment with the dentist but they said every dentist have slots that are allocated to provide urgent care to patients so I will have to ring them again. However, just then I saw an email sent at 1:59pm from Heaton Mersey Dental that due to the nature of complaint on Facebook I have made on 29th September, they will not offer me any appointments at the practice and will respond in 2 working days. I rang out of hours at 2:15pm and told them about this email and they rang the dental practice and I came to know through them that the peace have deregistered me. Again how a practice can do that if a patient makes a genuine complaint the practice takes them off without talking to them or informing. Well, later today when I spoke to the manager Sara, she said I can’t even request for different dentist Which was absolutely wrong. Within legal rights if a patient is not comfortable or satisfied they can ask to be seen by a different professional. But it was surprising that she said no I cannot. She refused to give me medicine after my surgery, refused to let me speak to the dentist over the phone, refused to give me urgent appointment after a week even when I told them about a hole in a different tooth that looks like been damaged while taking out my wisdom tooth and I’m having severe pain in that tooth even after taking codeine and instead of looking into my request of seeing another dentist they took the decision of taking me off from their practice without even speaking or informing me. I have no idea of how they have dealt with this. I have been miss treated and the amount of stress they have given me today is absolutely awful and this kind of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable. If they are doing this to me they can do it to others. The practice owner and a dentist Mr Ainsworth should look into how patients are getting the care and how they treated in his practice. Be careful everyone before you put any bad experience reviews as you will be taken off as well. |

This should be taken as a formal complaint. Worse experience ever and the service is getting poorer each time. It’s a struggle to get routine appointments and in time of emergencies they never accommodate on the day. In fact they have asked me twice to ring emergency number in practice working hours which they should not. I had wisdom tooth extraction in hospital last week and having excessive bleeding my cheek chin neck was all swollen on one side of my face and the pain exceeded to the ear. I was in agony when I rang to have some pain killers as I tried 3 types of painkillers from pharmacy but nothing helped, they didn’t give any medicine. I repeatedly said I can’t drive to come due to the swelling and pain all over one side of my face neck and ear and can’t even move my head. I told that I’m struggling to even swallow water. First the receptionist named Sue keep putting me on hold and when I asked to speak to the dentist over the phone then she passed the phone to manager Sara Sadeghiani who argued up to 30 minutes but didn’t put me through to the dentist to have some medicine. A patient had a surgery done just a day before and if this is how they are treated then it’s awful service. Sara kept on interrupting and talking over me. I repeatedly said with my condition I can’t drive or come with anyone she suggested to go to A&E. No consideration that a patient is in pain, having continuous bleeding and just want somethings to relief pain after a surgery and they think it’s a joke. Extremely Poor dealing-would not recommend anyone to go there. And now it’s been over a week and I rang this morning again twice asking to have a look at my tooth as I’m still having pain even through I’m having codeine for the last 6 days and had to register temporarily at another place to get antibiotics but just have notice a Hole in the other tooth instead and Sue said she will get a call back once she has spoken to manager. To give emergency appointment manager has to authorise it which is again bad practice. I rang emergency number and they also said that dentist should give appointment on the day for emergencies like this as it’s their duty to provide care and now I will make a formal complaint through NHS as this is not to be ignored. |

I have been visiting this dental practice for about 20 years and have never been seen at my appointment time , my last appointment was at 11.15 but was not seen until 11.50 with no explanation as to why, but that is my only complaint, the dentist and assistant are always very friendly and professional and do take good care of my teeth. |
