I was referred to Southend Dental Care to remove an impacted wisdom tooth. The appointment was made quickly, and I received detailed information about the location, pre op and after care. The receptionist on the day was welcoming and smiley, I had arrived full of nerves! The doctor was friendly and professional and instantly made me feel much calmer. He removed the tooth without me suffering any pain, and reassured me and guided me throughout the procedure. It was a good experience of something I was dreading and was over with before I knew it! A big thank you to the Southend Dental Care team for looking after me.

I had to wait no more than 5 minutes. The dentist I saw was extremely lovely. Offered lots of reassurance.. Completely professional. My only regret was the way I exited the building so quick, the injection made my whole body shake uncontrollably, so I didn't get to thank the dentist properly.. Apologies

I arrived just before 9 o’clock. The receptionist was very nice . I had been given the paper work before hand so did not have to be bothered with that , which I was grateful because I was very nervous . Went to sit outside room 2 all the staff that walked past all spoke to me again I was very grateful . At 9 o’clock I went in and the oral surgeon introduced him self and so did the nurse. The surgeon explained what he was going to do. I told him how nervous I was as I had been told my gum would have to be cut. The surgeon said he did not think that he would have to do that , which was good to hear. He did the injection and even the one in the roof of my mouth was not as bad as I had experienced at previous times with other practices. The surgeon told me I was in control of the procedure which also helped . He explained I would feel the tugging and would hear some cracking which I could but before I knew it the tooth was out . I was waiting for more to happen but no it was all over. I sat up and could not believe it was over . Other times with other practices I was in the chair for nearly and hour and felt so ill. So this time I could not believe it. Can not say thank you enough . I Will be changing to this surgery now and had a chat with the receptionist about changing to them . This was so nice to be able to talk after just having a tooth out.. At 9. 17 I was phoning for a lift home which I did not need as I felt fine . No problem the day after and just rinsing with salt water as the instruction sheet said and the surgeon also went over with me before I left. Now feel a bit better about going to the dentist and have got more confidents about making appointments for checkups again . Thank you so much to the surgeon and all the staff.
