First experience so far has been pretty shocking and pretty embarrassing - for them.
I’m bemused how little respect they have for a new customer.
Recently moving to the area, I registered while they were at the London road address, signed forms and did everything that was asked. The man at reception was less than helpful, but I did what he asked and left all my paperwork with him.
1 month later, after they had moved, I thought I’d best Male an appointment now they and I have settled into new homes, but they had no records of me. So, I had to register again. No biggy, but annoying.
I registered and booked a new appointment which was about a month wait. I then got a reminder two days before my appointment, but the morning of my appointment, for which I had taken the morning off work, they cancelled. They said the dentist was Ill. I get people are sick, but not the best start. They couldn’t accommodate me for another 2 weeks.
I then finally visited and there appointment was rushed, the room I was in is at the bottom of the stairs and the door was left wide open, less than private.
My follow up appointment was made 3 weeks later. I got the reminder text 2 days out. And the same thing happened. I took the morning off work, and I received a call the night before my appointment saying she couldn’t see me. Why? I couldn’t understand the man telling me why, all I could hear was she can’t make it. I expressed my disappointment, but there was no offer of another appointment. It was me who had to ask.
This is pretty poor, especially as I have already paid for the band 2 treatment! So, I’ve paid full price for 2 appointments but not actually had the 2nd appointment.
Let’s hope they don’t cancel again.
Really poor show, so let’s see how next one goes, as maybe I’ll find another dentist. |

i first contacted the surgery via NHS101 and was seen the same day after the on-set of chronic pain. this turned out to be an infected abscess. I was given anti-biotics, strong pain relief and went back a week later for an extraction under one particular doctor who was truly excellent, & professional. i regularly go back for check ups and routine cleaning and have so much praise for this practice. There may be an occasional 5 or 10 minute wait but that is normal everywhere and sometimes you will get seen immediately. The staff are helpful and polite. The smile says it all
I was greeted by the delightful receptionist who greeted me with a beautiful smile and asked me to take a seat. This was after contacting me to tell me of an earlier appointment that was available. After a short time I was greeted by my doctor with outstretched hand and a broad smile. We went into the surgery where I was introduced to his assistant. My treatment was explained very thoroughly and executed. My treatment is to go on for a few weeks but I am happy to be in his hands. Thank you to a wonderful team that made my visit ti the dentist an uplifting experience.
