Have been going to Arthur's hill dental clinic for a number of years. I am disabled and require barriatric services when being transported. This has been arranged very successfully by a member of staff from the Ambulance service. I have a problem with the new dentist allocated to me. They arranged 4 separate appointment for a clean and polish, this has never been done before. Each visit requires 2 x 2 man ambulances to make sure I am handled safely. The dentist in question has cancelled 2 appointment with me, both less that 1 hour before the appointment time. This has not just an impact on myself but also impacts on my carers, the ambulance service. The receptionist from the practice phoned the day before to ensure I was attending, I replied yes I was. On the day of my appt the receptionist phoned again to say that the dentist had requested that I be cancelled due to the barriatric walking frame not being ordered. Why had the walking frame not been ordered the day before after I had confirmed my attendance at clinic the previous day. |
