Aug 2 2019 I have had a fantastic experience with Wisdom dental and I'm glad I chose their practice to provide me with dental care. I have been on numerous visits over the past couple of years and most recently had a root canal treatment which was handled brilliantly! Thanks to my dentist who took the utmost care and led me through the procedure step-by-step.

Jan 11 2019 My husband attended the dentist because he had broken his tooth, after having a consultation and X Rays he was told that the dentist was unable to extract his tooth so would have to be referred to another dentist in Cradley Heath. That was OK but was Told he would have to pay the consultation fee. We asked at the time whether he would have to pay another consultation fee and was advised that he would. So he attended the Cradley Heath dentist the next day and the dentist asked why he had been sent there, we explained that his own dentist was unable to extract the tooth as his own dentist felt that he unable. well to our amazement the tooth was removed within seconds and no problems. So what should have been £59.10 it turned out to be £80.00 After a telephone call to the dentist and a possibility of a complaint to the NHS regarding the charge we were reimbursed with £21.10. We were told that they refer many patients to this other practice in Cradley Heath. So how many other people have paid twice for work that this dentist is unable to do. Surely if the dentist is incapable of doing the work and you are referred to another dentist then why should you have to pay for the consultation fee twice. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT PAY TWICE FOR YOUR CONSULTATION FEE.

Thank you for taking time to leave feedback about your recent visit to Wisdom Dental Care. Please be assured that our dentists at the practice always work in the best interest of their patients and will only refer treatment outside of the practice when they see a legitimate reason to do so. For referrals that do not require additional services (such as sedation) NHS protocol states that full treatment cost - in this case £59.10 - should be paid tot he practice who makes the referral, with not further charges been taken when you attend the practice carrying out your treatment. Having looked into your concerns, I can see that due to an administration error you were incorrectly charged £21.60 at your appointment with us when we should of charged the £59.10 band 2 charge, further payment should not then have been taken at the Cradley Heath practice. We apologise for any inconvenience this matter has caused and are glad that we were able to resolve the matter promptly, as it was brought to our attention, by refunding you the extra £21.60 you were charged.
