My aged mother was given a treatment plan and a quote, payable in advance, for £5700. She paid this by bank transfer on 8.3.2020. She received a receipt by email from Peacehaven Dental Practice, signed by Reza. The day before treatment was scheduled to begin she was locked down and she and Reza agreed to put the treatment on hold. She needed to have an emergency appointment on 8/2/2021 and the receptionist consulted her computer and confirmed that the deposit was still lodged against her name. Reza, however, was dismissive of starting the treatment at that time. On13/1/2022 she phoned the Practice to asked either the treatment be carried out or the money refunded, only to be told that Reza had left the practice a year ago and that he had never deposited her money into the business bank account and that her money was gone. In spite of having a receipt from the Practice itself and verbal confirmation about the money being on the computer against her name a year later. Subsequent letters resulted in the receptionist phoning to say there was no record of my mother ever having been a patient except for a couple of hygienist visits. My mother has been a patient for 14 years and has had about 6 extractions, a deep clean or two, several fillings and a denture made in this time , besides tri-annual hygienist visits. Curiously there was no mention of this mysterious wiping of the records during a phone call a week earlier. Something is obviously amiss, and the police have been informed. In the meantime, we feel it only fair to warn people to think carefully before paying up large sums in advance. |

Very rude dentist and isn't interested in NHS patients, only private! I had infected wisdom teeth due to being impacted and growing the wrong way yet the dentist told me it was because I don't brush my teeth. This is obviously untrue and I brush my teeth twice a day. Went to them to get antibiotics for the infection in my tooth only for them to dig around the swollen and inflamed area which reduced me to tears and leaving the appointment early. This has never happened to me before as I'm not afraid of the dentist! They also told one of my family members they would not remove her tooth unless she paid them £2000 to do so. She's still waiting on a referal to get it removed by the hospital and has been waiting for the letter for around 6 months now. |
