Located on the edge of Staffordshire Burton-on-Trent and enjoying beautiful views of the National Forest and Derbyshire countryside, Mount Pleasant is a modern purpose-built care home in Staffordshire providing residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 50 elderly people.

Mount Pleasant enjoys an excellent reputation for delivering high quality residential and nursing care in an attractive and tranquil environment. Residents’ rooms are light and airy and all benefit from en-suite bathrooms. Bedrooms and communal areas are all decorated and furnished to very high standards.

Mount Pleasant’s dementia care provision has been designed to meet the University of Stirling’s standards for dementia care, which are widely acknowledged as providing the best living environment for people living with dementia. Stirling’s Dementia Services Development Centre is renowned as the world leader in this field. The Stirling approach ensures that residents are able to move freely around the home, with bedrooms and communal areas appropriately laid out and clearly signposted to minimise confusion or disorientation.

The care home is ideally equipped to provide residential support for elderly people living with different types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and Korsakoff’s syndrome. However, staff never lose sight of the fact that, first and foremost, Mount Pleasant is home to our residents. The home has a light, airy and welcoming ambience and residents benefit from a broad and stimulating range of activities.
