Enhanced Elderly Care Service Wardley Gate Care Centre

Mam has been a permanent resident in Wardleygate since April 2016 and has settled in well. She has a lovely bright room on the ground floor and now classes this as her home.Management and staff are friendly and approachable and although busy, are always there for the family as well as the resident. The entertainment staff are very good at encouraging her to join in various activities ie. choir, Tai Chi and regular gentle exercise class. She has formed relationships with the staff and they understand her needs and preferences. It is a relief for our family to know that she is safe and well cared for 24 hours per day

On my first visit to WardleyGate Care Home was to have a look around as we were considering moving my dad from a Care Home which we did not think were meeting his needs & with constantly changing Managers issues were not always being dealt with efficiently. Without a doubt WardleyGate is a beautiful, spacious Care Home, decorated throughout with colourful, tasteful decor. But in all honesty it was the staff that helped in our final decision. The Carers are all extremely polite, trained to a very high standard which shows in the efficient way they care for all of the residents. The Activities person has a wealth of knowledge in stimulating & having fun with the residents. The Manager's door is always open and their nursing experience is of course a big asset in a very demanding role. Not to be left out are the cooks, food is excellent and they meet the needs for all tastes. The Cleaners do a very efficient job and the Handyperson is always around to help with any jobs. Consequently I would have no hesitation in recommending this Care Home.

My father has been a resident at Wardley Gate Care Home since October 2015. He is happy, settled, and well cared for. Staff caring for my father are very approachable, kind and very helpful. My meetings with management have always been positive, any concerns have been listened to and acted on. They do what they say they will do. Improvements have been made since their arrival, hopefully, more are to come. Thank you to Management and all their staff for all their good work.
