Braemar Lodge Residential Care Home

This company is a complete joke. They don't care about the residents or their staff at all. The food they feed their residents is disgusting ( evening meal)- bread and butter and some crisps.breakfast is porridge or toast sometimes a fry up that half of them can't even feed to themselves while staff just stand around while residents can't feed themselves. Im just disgusted in how they can not care. Do not put your family in this resident care home!!

Our mother, a 93 year old, suffering from Alzheimer’s disease who has lived at Braemar Lodge for two years and is popular with residents and staff, has been evicted from this care home by the management. Concerns were raised with the owner before and after our mother had a fall that was, in our view, mishandled. A subsequent follow-up by social services to check up on our mother, resulted in her being served notice, without explanation. In our opinion, this has nothing at all to do with our sweet-natured mother but is the result of her family questioning certain ongoing aspects of her care. We have found the quality of care at Braemar to be variable and, in the time out mother has been a resident, there has been a virtually complete change of staff, including three different managers. Our only concern is the safety and well-being of our mother, who we visit several days a week, and in spite of there being some kind-hearted carers, we cannot recommend a care home where the owner would even consider evicting a vulnerable adult.
