My son moved into Natalie House in October 2017 after a lengthy stay in a psychiatric hospital. His room was bright and airy with an en-suite. New bedding and towels were provided. The room was clean and nicely furnished complete with his own fridge, kettle, crockery and cutlery.
The communal areas are clean and welcoming.
He was appointed a care co-ordinator to oversee his rehabilitation. As a relative, I have found the staff caring, approachable and friendly. I have been involved in all aspects of my sons care and rehabilitation. The staff, in my opinion, have gone out of their way to help and encourage my son to live independently whilst addressing any issues that have surfaced along the way. I have spent the last 7 months knowing that my son is safe and looked after. The staff are always exploring new ideas to assist their clients and have recently come up with ‘the breakfast club’ to encourage day time routine whilst getting a healthy start to the day. My son has been extremely fortunate to have be able to access to this particular service. Keep up the good work Natalie House! |

Oblivious staff to the goings on inside the accommodation.
Staff are more focused on paperwork and keeping up appearances to how the service is appears to mangers higher up in the home group company, the service & the users of the service would definitely benefit from staff being more focused on the wellbeing of clients as opposed to paperwork.
Mostly Unsupportive & no amount of empathy from some staff member and it shows that they lack correct training certain mental health conditions that they will certainly see with people coming into the service. Disrespectful & rude staff bar a few. Some clients are favoured by certain staff members and that is clearly visable to other residents. It seems like staff members forget the people within the service are adults and not children and they aren’t there to act like judgemental, scolding parents.
Clients have expressed that they sometimes feel unable to be open and honest with staff due to feeling as if they’re being judged, brushed off or told off.
The concept of the service is great but the end result of the quality of service provided is very much less than the good given by CQC.
