When a patient goes here, their medication must be better looked after i.e. Inhalers. The patient goes in with their prescription inhalers the patient requires, only for the next of kin to be phoned to say they have not received the patients inhaler, when they know full well they have. Even the inhalers were clearly marked with the patients name on them. The patient has gon there for respite whilst their immediate family / carer go on a well earned break. Even a week later the patient has not had their inhaler as the home has not repeat has not bothered to get in touch with their doctor assigned to the home or the patient doctor to get new inhalers prescribed. Their medication and duty of care policies need to be revisited and adhered to from the Registered Home Manager right down to the junior member of the care staff. They appear to be slipping back to how they were pre 2016 CQC Inspection which was down to one part of giving and recording of medication. This needs to be tightened up or CQC could be involved again on exactly the same issue.
