Parkhill is a wonderful Nursing Home. We had visited a number of other Nursing and Care homes in our search for the best care for our Mum Eileen who had Alzheimers. She had quite a bad experience at a prev 4*? Care Home. On walking in Parkhill within the 1st 5 steps it felt right, The atmostphere is warm, happy and relaxed. The Staff are all welcoming and build up good rapport and respect with the residents. They are kind compassionate always respectful with warm humour which most residents enjoy. there is activities and entertainment for those who wish. The food is all home cooked and is absolutley lovely and good sized portions and a varied menu. The residents bedrooms are lovely and light with matching decor. The levels of cleanliness at Parkhill are just amazing it is always clean well maintained and odourfree which can only be testament to the team of staff involved. Personal Care of residents is given with the highest of respect and dignity. On a personal note my mum came to Parkhill beginning of dec 2015 from hospital on end of life care with a prognosis of 3 months weighing 61/2 st. mum passed away peacefully in aug 2016 happy well cared for and nearly 2 and 1/2 st heavier. The ten months mum spent at Parkhill and the wonderful care she received made that time for us and for her so special and we spent some of the best times we'd ever had with mum in her battle with alzheimers, because she was so well looked after and she was alot more settled, peaceful and happy. As were we knowing that when we went home we were safe in the knowledge that Mum was having the very best care available. To all at Parkhill thankyou so much for all the care, kindness, and support you gave mum and all the kindness and support you showed us. The Manager, Admin and all the Team are a Rare Find and a fantastic group of people I only wish i could clone them for every care home!!!! Jeannette & Rob |
