Grange Crescent is a residential care home situated in Sharrow and run by Sheffcare Limited; a not-for-profit provider of excellent care. In 2014 Grange Crescent opened an extension to the home all with en-suite rooms.
This care home provides person-centred care through individual care plans; designed to meet each service-user’s needs and treat them with the upmost dignity and respect. The home uses a key-worker system so that each resident is assigned a dedicated member of staff.
Grange Crescent organises regular entertainment and therapeutic activities, alongside Sheffcare’s activity workers and external volunteers. Activities include baking, flower arranging and chair-obics. The home organises day trips and holds fundraising and themed events throughout the year, and residents visit the nearby social clubs periodically. Visitors may visit the home at any reasonable time, without appointment, and families may join residents for freshly cooked meals, which are served in the dining rooms.
Residents may bring items of their own furniture for their rooms, which all have telephone and television points, and a carer-calling system. The communal areas are bright and friendly. There is a laundry service, and a hairdresser, doctor and chiropodist visit the homes regularly.
