The Laurels and the Limes is registered to provide nursing care for up to 88 older people, some of whom have dementia. The service operates from two separate buildings on the same site in the south of Sheffield. One building is purpose built. The majority of bedrooms are single and some have en-suite facilities. Jan 28 2013 My dad had alzheimers and was only at this home for a brief 8 day period of respite care whilst my mum was ill. the first ever period of respite care, Dad wasphysically very fit and capable, and during the night, whilst looking for the toilet, he pulled a chest of drawers over on himself. the pressure mat to detect night movement promised was not provided, dad fractured his hip as a result and died less than 6 weeks later. do not send your loved ones here. Believe this.
