Jun 23 2015 My mum moved there 1 year ago after leaving an extremely bad council recommended nursing home, she has made a great improvement and is very happy sadly I may have to move here back to a council nursing home as her self funding is running out

Sep 5 2013 My father who has dementia went to Abbeydale for respite care. I made a surprise visit during his stay and found that he had inexplicably been put to bed at 7pm and that he was still wearing his dentures! He could have choked. It appears that he had been put to bed by an apprentice, who did not realise that they were dentures. However, if they assumed that they were his own teeth, they didn't bother to brush his teeth before bedtime either, as his toothbrush was dry and his tube of toothpaste was unused. A disgusting, potentially lethal lapse - and despite complaining we received no apology!
