The Mendips Residential Care Home

We are a 9 bedded Residential Home based in East Bristol which specialising in providing accommodation and tailored person centred support for people with enduring Mental Health needs including those who have additional support needs such as a mild learning disability or dementia.

& We aim to offer a comfortable and homely environment where people feel safe and their anxiety levels are managed sensitively and effectively. We do this by providing people with focused one to one support and enabling them to access additional support as they need it.

& We work hard to maintain the stability of people&s mental health so that its impact on their life is as minimal as possible. We do this through ongoing monitoring and assessment and adjusting support quickly if people&s needs change. Where necessary we work closely with GPs and other medical professionals.

& We help people to build their self esteem, to maintain and develop their skills and we promote their independence both within the home and the community as so far as they are able.

& The service is suitable for people who either need a long term residential placement or for people who need a temporary stepping stone to gain the skills and confidence they need to move on into a more independent setting. &

& The home is in easy walking distance from local shops and services and has good transport links around the city.
