St Wilfrids Priory Care Home

The Priory is a loving, caring place for those needing more than care at home. My next of kin is a 90 year old french lady who has no family alive. She became very confused and was diagnosed with dementia just 6 months after hearing of her only relatives death. I was gradually becoming a full time carer, neglecting my own family and sought help. Eventually the social services shared my plight and once we had decided she needed to be professionally cared for we chose The Priory. This is a caring, home-like place and she is much calmer, getting good regular meals, controlled medication and she has once again become the friend I thought I had lost. I would recommend The Priory and their staff to anyone, all are concerned and loving to all residents.

My father is a resident at St Wilfreds Priory and recently became ill. The staff phoned myself and his GP promptly. He was in hospital for 6 days, the staff phoned the hospital regularly for the duration of his stay. On his return to the home one of the staff ensured that they were fully aware of his medication and satisfied that he was well and happy before returning to their duties. All the staff are always cheerful, interested and a pleasure to deal with.

St Wilfrids Priory in Arundel is clean, not stuffy, with a fresh smell. It has a relaxed, homely atmosphere, the residents have free choices. The staff are pleasing and polite, caring individuals who have worked in the home long term and the manager is always present to discuss suggestions. Bedrooms are spotless, residents being able to have their own pictures on the walls and bits of their old home life to make them feel at home. Most importantly the residents are very happy!
